78 Derngate, Northampton - Originally built around 1820, the house was remodelled by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1916 in his Modernist style. The gallery upstairs has a series of exhibitions throughout the year, in-house boutique restaurant, gift shop - partial accessibility for visitors with mobility impairment, lift gives access to a disabled toilet and all floors in our exhibition gallery, but only to two of the floors in the Mackintosh House

Boughton House, Geddington - home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry, originaly a Tudor building it was transformed into a French style stately home, contains one of Britain’s most outstanding collections of fine art, with a superb display of furniture, tapestries, art, porcelain and carpets adorning the State Rooms and Halls. 18th-century landscaped gardens, Grade One listed historic landscape. - with the inherent restrictions of a listed historic building not all areas are fully accessible, a ground floor only tour is available. Most areas surrounding the entran ce to the House itself and the Stable Yard area, which includes the Gift Shop, Tea Room and Reception, are paved with a very small layer of granite chippings that do not impeded wheelchair mobility, or cobbled, accessible unisex toilet located alongside the main WCs in the Stable Yard

Castle Ashby Gardens - ancestral home of the 7th Marquess of Northampton, 10,000-acre estate, the 35 acres of extensive gardens are a combination of several styles including the romantic Italian Gardens, the unique Orangery and impressive Arboretum, menagerie, children's play area, plant centre, tea room and gift shop - Wheel chair access into the gardens. Wheel chairs available on request (advanced booking required) paths are made from compacted shingle, which some wheelchair users may find a little difficult.

Canons Ashby (NT) - Elizabethan manor house set in beautiful 18th-century gardens - survived largely unaltered since 1710, house features grand rooms, stunning tapestries and Jacobean plasterwork, contrasting with the domestic detail of the servants' quarters, - Wheelchair access to the house is restricted to the great kitchen,(via the Pebbled Court entrance) motorised mobility scooters are not permitted in to the house. The garden has loose gravel paths which may make it hard for wheeled transport to navigate. A driver assisted golf buggy is available
