Oxfordshire is a largely rural county with chocolate box villages and historic towns. For generations the county has drawn visitors to the Cotswold towns and villages as well as the University town of Oxford. It has an industrial heritage too, once being a centre for the woolen trade and weaving, such as Whitney for it's blankets.
Tourist hot spots are the University City of Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Burford, Chipping Norton, Henley on Thames, Witney and Woodstock
